Arko Lucieer

Arko is a Senior Lecturer in Remote Sensing and GIS at The University of Tasmania, Australia. He works within the Surveying and Spatial Sciences group in the School of Land and Food. His research focuses on quantitative environmental remote sensing, using satellite and airborne imagery and advanced image processing techniques to better understand the environment. He is the founder and lead investigator of the TerraLuma research group, focusing on the development and application of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS, also known as UAVs or drones) and image processing techniques for environmental, agricultural, and high-precision aerial mapping applications.
